Accounts need Supabase configured for this deploy , see README.md.

username (shown instead of your typed handle)

email password (min 8 characters)

choose a username (finishes setting up your account)

signed in as

display name (optional , shown instead of your username everywhere a name appears)

This only changes how your name is displayed. Every message you send is still recorded and permission-checked against your actual username (), not your display name , so edits, deletes, mentions, and moderation all still resolve to your real account.

admin tools (only visible to admins)

Grant or revoke the ✓ checkmark for any registered username.
